Panama, the center of the Americas and its role in strengthening the regional value chains

At the threshold of a post-pandemic scenario, multinational companies are beginning to rethink where to locate their supply chains due to the reconfiguration of global value chains that started over a decade ago and has been accentuated by disruptions caused by COVID-19, geopolitical and trade tensions. In this context, Panama – already a major global player in logistics, financial services, and air transport – offers several competitive advantages to remain an attractive destination for new investments driven by the repositioning of these supply chains.
In this context, we cordially invite you to join us on February 3rd at 9:30 a.m. Panama time/EST (7:00 a.m. Belize time) for a high-level virtual dialogue co-hosted by the Government of Panama and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), during which the primary benefits of investing in Panama will be presented; both from the perspective of international companies that have invested successfully in the country and of local companies and sectors that are market leaders. Likewise, the different instruments that the IDB makes available to Panama and the countries of the region to support this agenda will be presented.

Event conducted in Spanish (simultaneous translation available in English).
