The BCCI Celebrates 106th Annual General Meeting
Belize City, Belize – April 30th, 2026 – The Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) successfully convened its 106th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 30, 2026, at the Fort George Hotel & Spa, during which members elected a new Board of Directors to guide the organization’s strategic direction for the coming term.
Members ratified the Executive Officers and cast their vote for a slate of 5 councilors out of a slate of 9. The new Executive Council for the 2026-2028 term are: President – Mr. Giacomo Sanchez, Vice President Services – Ms. Noriko Gamero, Vice President Commerce – Mr. Jody Williams, Vice President Industry – Mr. William Usher, Treasurer – Mr. Marcello Blake, Secretary – Mrs. Ashanti Martin and Immediate Past President – Ms. Marissa Longsworth. Mr. William Arthur Neal once again topped the polls as a 4th-Term Councilor, along with Mr. Luis Ugarte – 2nd Term Councilor, and newcomers Mrs. Claudette El Ters, Mr. Bruno Kuppinger, and Mr. Norman Dueck. The newly elected Council reflects a balanced blend of experience and renewed leadership energy, positioning the Chamber to continue advancing its strategic priorities with strength and continuity over the term ahead.
