Mediation & Alternative Dispute ResolutionADR - Mediation Service

WHAT IS ADR?

Alternative Dispute Resolution, also referred to as ADR, is a method of communicating and addressing conflict in order to avoid formal litigation and court proceedings.

As the name suggests, when two or more parties need to resolve a dispute, ADR utilizes alternative resolution techniques, such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration, instead of court action.

Legal counsel may be utilized, but ADR does not necessarily require representation by an attorney. ADR is less expensive, and less complicated than court action. It is private and confidential.

DOES ADR REALLY WORK?

The answer is YES! ADR has been successfully utilized for a long time in many countries.

In fact, mediation, arbitration and negotiation have become integral tools for resolving many kinds of commercial disputes around the world. The Chamber has introduced ADR as a service to its members. Any business, in any industry or sector can benefit from it.
