Belize’s secondary industries comprise of the manufacturing industry including mining and quarrying. Since 2006, the sectorhas been recording significant contributions to GDP with the production andexport of oil. In 2008 the sector generated Bz$268.2 million towards GDP, makingit one the largest and leading contributor.18
