Certificate of Origin Certificates
As a member of CARICOM, Belize applies preferential rules of origin. The goods must have been wholly produced within CARICOM or, if produced wholly or partly from materials imported from third countries, “substantially transformed,” to be considered as originating in CARICOM.
To prove that a product originates in Belize, the product needs to be accompanied by a Certificate of Origin (COO). The Belize Customs and Excise Department is the competent authority for issuing all COO's in Belize. The BCCI is willing to issue such Certificates of Origin based on:
(i) The commerical invoice of the Exporter regarding the final product, and
(ii) The agreement of the Exporter to indemnify the.(View)
Requirements:
- An authentic commercial invoice from the Exporter;
- Product description with the specific quantity to be exported;
- The name and address of Importer in he foreign country.
This service is provided to members at a cost of BZ $ 28.13 and for non-members, BZ $ 45.00 (GST included).
