For the past twelve years, the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been successfully organizing EXPO Belize, the only trade show in Belize that allows visitors an opportunity to experience a wide diversity of products and services offered by Belizean businesses. Since its inception, the show has grown in name and stature attracting more than 14, 000 visitors with participation from over 120 exhibitors last year alone.
EXPO Belize 2008 will be held on September 13 and 14, 2008 at the St. John's College Gymnasium, with Opening Ceremonies scheduled for Friday, September 12, at 4 p.m. As organizers of this event, we are anticipating a record number of private sector businesses from various segments of Belize's economy to participate in the show.
In an effort to make this year's EXPO more attractive and inviting, we are encouraging all Participants to go beyond their efforts last year and outdo their competition with colourful displays of goods and services. As an incentive, the Chamber will be offering a prize to the Company that has the most outstanding booth.
The floor plan remains unchanged with divisions between different sectors — services, manufacturing, and merchandising, etc., as well as the special area for new start-up businesses (3 months—1 year), which was introduced five years ago. In addition, we have invited firms from the Caribbean and Central America to participate.
In addition to the increase in the number of booths, we will also be limiting the number of booths that one single exhibitor can acquire. The booth space will be limited to 6 (six) booths per company; exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Please note that four (4) complimentary passes plus one (1) vehicle pass will be provided for the rental of each booth.
Your business is being invited to participate in this highly anticipated and widely recognized event. This is a very unique opportunity to market your business' products and services. We urge you to contact us as soon as possible to reserve your company's space. The deadline for submission of applications is August 15th, 2008. At this time, the total fee must be received with the application. Early registration requires submission of your application and a deposit of 50% of the booth charge, plus relevant taxes. Notification of cancellations after August 15, 2008 will result in a cancellation fee equivalent of 50% of the booth charge.
The Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry takes this opportunity to invite you to be a part of yet another successful annual event organized by us just for YOU!
Sincerely,
Vanessa Vellos
